Gloucestershire Chamber of Commerce & Industry
Formed in 1990, Gloucestershire
Chamber seeks to “Be the Voice and to Provide the Forum for County
Business to Prosper through a range of activities, including
seminars on current legislation, regular networking events,
promotional opportunities, a range of benefits including good
information, export services and an opportunity for business voice
to be heard where it really matters.”
From the 1s January 2009 the
Chamber, with 300
members, has taken the first steps towards a formal
merger with GWE Business West, a move which is felt will secure the
organisation’s long term future. Existing Gloucestershire members
will be managed by the usual team of John Cripps (CEO) and Kirsty
Watts (Admin assistant) based at Chargrove House, near Cheltenham,
and the Chamber Board led by President Martin Quantock will
continue to take a keen interest in all things related to
Gloucestershire’s economic activity. GWE Business West will assume
financial responsibilities and bring it’s considerable expertise in
marketing, communications, information and events to enhance the
services already
available to the County Chamber's members.
