Our Activities
The Initiative exists
to enable the business community to play a leading part in
influencing the way the area is shaped, managed and developed. Over
a long period it has forged a range of effective links between the
private and public sector, which ensure that the voice of business
is heard and is credible. Our activities are focused on
representing you and ensuring the business voice is heard. We do
this through a range of activities:
The Initiative is keen to promote
particular priorities and projects of relevance to our members. To

The Initiative represents the
business voice on a whole range of different strategic and local
partnerships and organisations.
The Initiative exists to make the
West of England area the best place to live and operate in
business. Our core activity is centred around enabling the business
community to play a leading part in influencing the way the area is
shaped, managed and developed
We provide regular opportunities
for our members to meet to discuss matters of mutual interest,
through monthly lunch meetings, quarterly evening meetings, and
consultation meetings, as well as a regular update service via
e-mail.
We currently run a Planning
and Transport Committee and a Business Forum for Chamber of
