By becoming a member of the Initiative you are joining a community pledged to make a difference right across the sub-region of Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Gloucestershire.

• We meet regularly to discuss matters of strategic importance and take action on your behalf on many levels.
• Join us at one of our monthly briefing luncheons focusing on key issues.
• Listen to relevant presentations at the quarterly evening meetings and have an opportunity to network over drinks and dinner.
• We provide a regular update service via e-mail. This is particularly useful for members who have been unable to attend events in person.
• We represent your views at key strategic and local partnerships and through Chamber Committees.
• We produce a bi-monthly news bulletin to update you on our activities - Taking The Initiative. 
• We seek your views on key issues through regular members' polls.
• Engage in our locally based Initiative activity such as The Initiative in Bath and North East Somerset and The Initiative in Swindon.
• Initiative membership also includes full membership of GWE Business West Chambers of Commerce (Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire.)
